How to: Update your info (and what changes when Planning Center is connected)
Summary
The Account page lets volunteers review their basic account details and reset their password. If your church has connected Planning Center, your account fields will be read-only and must be updated in Planning Center instead.

What you’ll need
Before you begin, make sure you have:

A Volunteer account in Safe Pathways

Access to the Account page in your Volunteer dashboard
Before you start
The Account page shows your basic identity details, including:

first name
-
last name
-
email
-
confirmed
-
phone number
It also includes a Reset password button.
If your church uses Planning Center with Safe Pathways, your account fields may appear greyed out and unavailable to edit.
When this happens, Safe Pathways will display a message telling you to update your information in Planning Center instead.
Steps to review or update your account information
1. Open the Account page
In the left-side menu, click Account.
2. Review your account details
Check the information shown on the page, including your name, email address, confirmation status, and phone number.
3. Update your information if the fields are editable
If the account fields can be edited, update any information your church has asked you to change.
4. Check whether Planning Center is connected
If the fields are greyed out, read the on-screen message.
It will say:
You can only change your account information on your church’s Planning Center.
5. Update your details in Planning Center if needed
If your church uses Planning Center, make any needed account changes there instead of in Safe Pathways.
6. Use Reset password if you need to change your password
If you need to change your password, click Reset password.
This option should still be available even if Planning Center is connected.
What happens next
After reviewing or updating your account information, return to Home to continue your assigned pathways, policy acknowledgements, and references if needed.
Troubleshooting
My email address is wrong

- Contact your church administrator for help.
- Your email address is used as your login name.
My Account fields are read-only

- This is expected if your church has connected Planning Center.
- Update your account information in Planning Center instead of Safe Pathways.
I do not see Reset password

- Refresh the page and check again.
- If the button still does not appear, contact your church administrator or Safe Pathways support.
