Your Dashboard is your personal dashboard in Safe Pathways. Every task your church needs you to complete — training, policy sign-off, references, and screening items — lives here in one place.
Your Dashboard, section by section
Your Pathways
This is where your training lives. Your church assigns you one or more pathways based on your volunteer role — for example, an Intro Pathway that everyone completes, plus a role-specific pathway like Children or Youth.
Each pathway appears as a card showing:
- A date label – either "Due by: [Date]" (training not yet complete) or "Active until [Date] (once you've finished)
- Your status – No Started, In Progress, Completed, Expired, or Renew
- An action button – Start Here (to begin), Continue (to pick up where you left off), or Certificate (to view proof of completion)
💡 How long does it take?
Most pathways take under 20 minutes. The Intro Pathway – four short videos and a quiz – takes about 10 minutes.
Your policy acknowledgement
Your church's safeguarding policy appears here. Each card gives you options to open the policy, sign it, and see which version you're signing. Once signed, the card confirms your acknowledgement is complete.

Your church needs two references as part of screening. Enter the name and contact details for each one here.
ℹ️ How it works
If you provide an email address, Safe Pathways automatically sends a reference request. If you provide a phone number, your church staff will follow up directly.
Your church staff tasks
This section is collapsed by default. Expand it to see items your church handles on your behalf — like verifying references or processing a police check. You can't complete these yourself, but you can check what's still pending.
Your Authorized Adult status
Near the top of your Dashboard, you may see a message about your Authorized Adult status — for example, "You are not yet an Authorized Adult." This reflects whether your church considers you fully cleared to serve, based on your completed training, signed policy, and any pending staff tasks. Once everything is in order, this status updates automatically.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my Dashboard empty?
Your church may not have assigned pathways or uploaded policies yet. Check back in a day or two, or ask your church administrator.
I finished my training but I'm still not cleared. What's missing?
Expand "Your church staff tasks" to see what's still in progress. Reference checks and police check processing are handled by your church staff, not by you.
Can I complete everything on my phone?
Yes. Safe Pathways works in any modern browser. No app download required.
