Troubleshooting: I didn't get my login email
If you were expecting an invitation or login email from Safe Pathways and it hasn't arrived, this article walks you through the most common causes and fixes.
Quick fixes to try first
-
Check your spam or junk folder
Search your spam and junk folders for emails from a safepathways.com address. This is the most common reason people miss the email.
-
Search your entire inbox
Search for "Safe Pathways" across all your email folders. Some email apps file automated messages in tabs like Promotions or Updates (Gmail does this). -
Check whether your email system blocked it
If you use a work, school, or church-managed email account, your IT team or email administrator may be filtering automated messages. Ask them to allow emails from safepathways.com. -
Confirm your email address with your church
Your church administrator may have entered a different email address than you expected — a typo, an old address, or a family member's address. Ask your church administrator to check the email address they have on file for you in Safe Pathways. -
Ask your church to resend
Once your email address is confirmed as correct, ask your church administrator to resend your invitation. Invitations are sent automatically when pathways are assigned, but your church administrator can also trigger a resend.
-
Try a different email address
If your current email consistently can't receive the messages (common with some work and school accounts), ask your church to update your record with a personal email address. A free email account like Gmail works well.
For church administrators
If a volunteer tells you they haven't received their email:
-
Open Volunteers and search for the person.
-
Confirm the email address on their record is correct and matches what they expect
-
If needed, update their email address and reassign or send.
-
Let the volunteer know to check their spam folder after you resend.
Still not working?
If you've tried all of the above and the email still isn't arriving, contact Safe Pathways support and include:
-
The volunteer's name and email address
-
Your church name
-
When the invitation was sent (approximate date)
-
Whether the volunteer has checked spam and confirmed the email address
