What “Version: {date}” means on policies
Summary
Each policy card shows a Version: {DATE} label. When your church updates a policy, the version date helps distinguish the new policy from an older version you may have signed previously.

What you’ll need
Before you begin, make sure you have:
-
A Volunteer account in Safe Pathways
-
Access to the Home page in your Volunteer dashboard
-
At least one policy card showing under Your policy acknowledgement
Before you start
Safe Pathways displays a Version: {DATE} label on each policy card.
This version date helps identify which version of the policy you are being asked to acknowledge.
If your church updates a policy, the version date helps confirm whether you signed the current version or an older one.
Steps to understand policy version dates
1. Open the Home page
In the left-side menu, click Home.
2. Scroll to Your policy acknowledgement
On the Home page, scroll to the Your policy acknowledgement section.
3. Find the version label on the policy card
On the policy card, locate the line that shows Version: {DATE}.
4. Use the version date to identify the policy
If your church asks which version of the policy you signed, share the exact Version: {DATE} shown on the policy card.
5. Sign a newer version if one appears
If your church publishes an updated policy version, open the policy and complete the acknowledgement for the newer version.
What happens next
If a policy shows that it has not been signed, open the policy and complete the acknowledgement.
If you already signed a policy but a newer version appears, you may need to review and sign the updated version as well.
